Rebunking the Myth of Hypnotherapy

What is hypnotherapy?

a therapeutic practice that uses guided hypnosis to help individuals enter a relaxed, focused state, enhancing their suggestibility and facilitating positive change through their subconscious mind. It is a type of complementary therapy that can be used alongside conventional treatments to manage various conditions.

Do I still have full control of myself during hypnotherapy?

Yes, during hypnotherapy, you remain in control of yourself. Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, but it does not involve losing consciousness or free will. You can't be made to do anything against your will, and you can choose to end the session or reject any suggestion that feels uncomfortable.

We can deal with the same issue with various methodologies; we will make changes if one is not comfortable with hypnotherapy during the session.

How long does it take into hypnotherapy state?

Reaching a hypnotic state in hypnotherapy can be very quick, sometimes taking only a few minutes. However, the duration of the overall hypnotherapy process, including achieving the hypnotic state and seeing noticeable results, varies significantly from person to person and depends on the individual's goals and the nature of the issue being addressed.

Can I be hypnotised, what if I can’t

Most people can be hypnotized, and resistance is often due to a lack of understanding or comfort, rather than an inability. If hypnosis doesn't work initially, it might be due to factors like resistance, lack of relaxation, or difficulty focusing, but it's not necessarily a permanent inability.

What is the success rate of hypnosis as compare to other treatment modalities?

Alfred A. Barrios, Ph. D., presented a review in the journal "Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice" and in American Health magazine, where he provided the following recovery rates for different therapies: Hypnotherapy: 93% success rate after an average of 6 sessions.21 Nov 2023.

On top of that, our focus is to produce results, not on what modality that we use. There are many ways that we can work on one issue from our wealth of experience.
